Due to our clients continued growth and success, we are recruiting an HR Manager to head up their HR team based from Purley. This role will require you to lead and support the development and implementation their HR policy across all areas of the organisation including improving performance, maximising attendance and providing effective management of change.
You will have responsibility for the day to day operation of the HR function, ensuring that excellent professional guidance and support is provided to managers and employees on all aspects of policy, procedures, best practice, legislation, and recruitment, to achieve the aims of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead their HR team to develop, co-ordinate, implement and audit all HR activity within the department and across the organisation.
Provide advice to managers on pay, conditions of service matters, employee relations issues and policies taking into account current employment and case law to influence best practice and operational activity.
Make proper arrangements for the effective recruitment of personnel to maintain the capacity and capability of the organisation.
Maintain effective employee relations including participation, consultation and negotiation with representative bodies and ensure maintenance of productive working relationships with all colleagues.
Monitoring Officer and Account Manager for Payroll & Pensions. Budget holder for personnel and other services – including Pensions Holding account.
Analyse existing personnel systems and strategies and implementing changes where necessary.
Keeping the board informed on personnel and employee-relations policies, as needed, to preserve and facilitate company strategy
Ensuring compliance with employment law and that health and safety procedures are adequate.
Other duties befitting Head of HR
Skills & Experience:
CIPD (or equivalent qualification)
Proven generalist experience including the ability to work at both strategic and operational levels.
You will be self-motivated and flexible and have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
You will be fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of employment law and HR best practice.
